Amy-Jill Levine is a Biblical scholar and compiler of the original English edition on which Nieuwe Testament met Joodse toelichtingen is based. She worked together with Marc Zvi Brettler. The Dutch edition combines the NBV21 text with contributions about the Jewish world of the New Testament. Her role concerns the scientific explanation and composition; she is not the author of the Bible text or translator of the NBV21. This separation is useful for readers: you can consciously compare the text, explanation and historical questions.
