THE SHORT ANSWER
Use a suitable compartment, tube or soft cover and keep the Bible away from leaking bottles and sharp objects. A zipper or elastic helps keep the book closed.
Measure the entire format
When choosing a cover, take the outside dimensions of the Bible as a starting point, including the protruding edge or zipper. A designation such as pocket size is too general to blindly order a cover. Leave enough space to easily remove the book, but prevent it from sliding back and forth in a cover that is too large.
Divide the contents of your bag
Do not place a heavy laptop on thin pages that protrude from the book. Keep pens capped and loose papers in a separate compartment. Notes tucked between the pages can make a Bible thicker and strain its binding or fastening. Take only the notes you actually need.
Choose a practical closure
The Notebook Bible has an elastic; some leather Bibles have a zipper. These are different ways to keep the bond closed. They do not guarantee protection against moisture. If you cycle or travel a lot, the bag itself is also part of the protection. In addition, choose a version that you can wear and read comfortably.
